    Default cheap ebay stuff

A while back I bought some ebay parts for the ms250, tank fuel hose, fuel filler cap, impulse tube, etc., replaced the parts and saw ran ok, didn't use it for a bit and then went to use it and it's back to what it was doing before....starts then stops, if it does run it's like it is starving for fuel, tried adjusting H and L but still no go. So I bought all the OEM fuel associated parts, from filler cap to carby boot, the other day I set about and replaced all the ebay stuff and the old original parts,
    some interesting points to note:
the primer bubble was non see thru and not working much, I thought it was ok,
there was a wear mark that was not far from going right thru on one of the primer lines,
the vacuum breaker valve was a bit weak,
the ebay tank line had more cracks in it than the old original,
the ebay air filter is a piece of crap,
the ebay fuel filler cap not sure, doesn't have the same feel to it when compared to the OEM.
There was a nice crisp thhhhtttttt when the new fuel filler cap was opened after giving the bubble a few squeezes.

Today I gave it a try, first tho I adjusted H and L to factory standard, gave the bubble 2 squeezes (fuel filled the bubble) choke on, 2 pulls, it's gonna go, choke off, 2 pulls and ran like it was new, revved ok with no hesitation and idled nicely......to the tree....no dramas at all for the arvo.

Moral of the story: tread carefully when buying the ebay stuff!!!

A chainsaw is one of those things where cheap parts aren't generally worth the savings.

I bought a husqvarna and one of the driving reasons is that oem parts (and the saw itself) are readily available online. Stihl parts are much harder to get online.
