Comparison Between C.S Mill & Bandsaw Mill
Each has their own advantages.
Here's a couple of videos of operating mills
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tsMwOpiKc4"]Alaskan Lumber Mill[/ame]
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yO9reCLeLk"]and a Bandsaw Mill [/ame]
The biggest hassle with a bandsaw mill is keeping them razor sharp so the band doesn't wander. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFbmxpgxe88"]This sharpener [/ame]would be a great asset to a bs mill operator.
I'm seriously thinking of building a bs mill and a sharpener.
(The sharpoeners website is down, maybe they went broke) So it looks like I'll need to make the sharpener. I wouldn't have another bs mill without something like this.

The body of the sharpener looks similar to the one that comes with the Lucas mill - you'd just have to come up with the jig to hold it - easy eh!

Easy once you see it, not hard to make a sharpener.
Wish I hadn't sold me old BS mill now.
But I'll make another without some of the old mills vices.
