Cool need a contractor to mill our Marri planks

We have some lovely Marri planks 200mm wide x 60. We want to slice them down the middle. Are there any mobile contractors in the Perth area that we can call?

contact the guys at the recycled timber company in Bassendeen. They have a big band resaw and could do it for you. Great guys to boot

How many have you got? 200 mm is not beyond the means of someone with a decent regular (say 18" or greater) bandsaw.

It's only 60 thick, smaller than 18" bandsaws could do it, plus most table saws too.

I think he wants to rip the 200 x 60 into 2 x 200 x 30s. Even a 14" bandsaw will probably do that but I was thinking of the HP of the BS motor.

If you are near Goomalling maybe try Dean Bishop as used by Brad, see here Floating Edge-Unique Jarrah, Karri, Marri Hardwood Designs
