Coolibah Burl
The Local Wood Club came across a Coolibah tree on one of our wood gathering Expeditions that was covered in Burl. We decided to take the whole tree as it looked pretty sick and would not survive once the Burls were were removed. Anyway we finally got a chance to break it Down the other day. We split it with a chainsaw so that we could could put it across our 20" Felder BS, The colour and Grain was Spectacular. Here are some Picks, we hope to get some Veneers and Box Making Blanks as well as pens from the off Cuts.
