If I were to buy it are you gonna come and spend a week showing me how to use it and help cut those logs carl?
I am told that sharpening handsaws is a dying art.... this must mean I am an artisan.
Get your handsaws sharpened properly to the highest possible standard, the only way they should be done, BY HAND, BY ME!!! I only accept perfection in any saw I sharpen.

I noticed that the other day too, hey Carl did you notice the ROPS. The little Massy loader looks rougher then it is and a good simple little machine to run an operate as well to maintain It will need a bit of extra weight on the back the steer wheels an tires are pretty common just rember Its 2wd Its a great buy if you dont have to freight it far

I'd say the mill alone is worth $8-$10K and 50cube of log if it's good, could be as Carl said... no bloody idea about the rest
I love my Lucas!! ...just ask me!

I have spoken to carl AND we both agree that the log alone will pay for the rest! I will be talking to a banker about it but if someone wants to go shares in it I am open to suggestion! it is just down the road from me but I am a bit short on the ready at the moment. IT is a good deal!!!!

The logs look like the ordinary old Cypress that grows along most fence lines around here. It is usually full of knots that go all the way to the centre and looking at the end of those logs in the photo some look to have a cloverleaf shape on the end with bark inclusions going all the way to the centre - so limited timber from them.
What sort of timber would you cut out of that stuff.
Cheersregards

Well it has a number of uses. boatbuilding and furniture for a couple, but the hardwood would be saleable as structural timber sizes and as Carl said in one conversation I had recently the cypress would make good weather boards. not only that I know where there is plenty of other stuff (ash and stringy I could get hold of, but also other more desireable timbers such as myrtle, sassafras, oak, sheaoak, blackwood etc.) so it would soon pay its way.

if you look in the background there is a fair few good logs of hardwood there too calm, I do not know if tey are included but they are in the pic and it would be worth looking further into.

I'd think you would get more log than in the pic on the listing, the pile in the foreground doesn't look to be the 50 cube as stated in the listing, although they could all be big logs, but it doesn't look like that one pile is 50 cube...
