Deep Yellow Wood
Milled these pieces today,revealed birds-eye,fiddleback,and a good mix of colours..the tree is Deep Yellow Wood ( Rhodosphaera rhodanthema),you don't often see it these days as alot of it was cut out of the scrub in years gone by..something a bit unusual..MM

Looks gorgeous . Hopefull it will hold its colour when it dries.
Looking at the ANBG IBIS common name database, Rhodosphaera rhodanthema is also known as Tulip Satinwood, and Yellow Cedar.Neil____________________________________________Every day presents an opportunity to learn something new

The bark looks like Red Cedar,the leaves are similar too..MM
