i've got a slabmaster that can finsh slabs 6 metres long by 1800mm wide, but i only use it to take twist and bow out of the slabs and take it to a bloke whose drum sander will finish it

Google "Woodwizz" too, they make a very capable machine as well.

You can also get an atachment for lucas.

how did you go scott? the slabmaster can be made to almost any size. eli,i would have bought the lucas attachment but i can run the slabmaster at night and when it's raining two things i don't like doing with the mill

I like the machine, though don't have the 7 grand advertised price i found. The woodwizz takes up less room. Though for me i like your set up for a few different tasks i have in mind. Might try make my own as i've seen some home made jobs that would do a pretty good job.
First i need a shed. Got a mate with a lucas to mill 3 woolibutts for me about 1 - 1.2M in diameter. Too much for my band or chainsaw mill. I'll wire up his house for a trade, being a sparky. Thanks for the idea
