Euc Elata
Hi
I have a Euc elata (River Peppermint) in my backyard that's growing over the Sydney Water sewer so it has to go. It's a monster. It's 23 metres high and over 1 metre diameter at the base in healthy condition. The tree surgeon said there's 4 cu m of "firewood" in it. However, Bootle says it's a useful hardwood.
I don't want to make money from it. I just don't want to see it wasted. Is it of use to anyone to mill?
Appreciate your thoughts
Stewart

Peppermint
Can anyone suggest how I might find someone who would be interested in milling this tree?
Thanks

There probably is someone who can help. but often they are out milling and may not have seen the post.
Your first problem is finding somebody to fell the tree and yellow pages is your best bet there unless there are any recommendations from the forum. It is specialised with fairly heavy public liability insurance.
I hope someone cames up with information for you.
