Hi Chris,
Nice looking forks,
How do you find the flame section go as far as cracking/splits?
With what I have done so far with the euc. hardwoods I haven't had a lot of success, seems to be unavoidale even with liberal coating of sealer. Seems very slow drying might be more the go.

Hi Pete,Forest Red Gum seems to hold together alright..the trick is to keep the slabs out of direct wind and heat.I will also seal the flame section with log sealer (alot of it is 'end' grain),it works a treat...Rocky does have a much lower E.M.C than the Sunshine coast though...MM

Hey Chris, looks like that chain is cutting much nicer slabs now mate
Did you find the 5 skip settled down on the wider slabs?
looks like you might end up with some hair left after all mateI love my Lucas!! ...just ask me!
Allan.

Not sure Wood Collector ...they are only 1200mm long,so i guess that limits their application.Certainly would make stunning coffee tables ...surprisingly cut like butter, although it helps to have a sharp chain .Went back to the old school way of sharpening by hand, without a jig,and i am getting a better result than when i had them 'professionally' sharpened ...got angle back to 10*,improved hook angle (around 60*),and of course, set the rakers at correct height, and bobs your uncle ,milling beautifully now...MM
