    Default Forest Red Gum re-saw

These came off a dimensional flitch..220mm x 1200mm x 100mm (seasoned) that i milled about an hour ago...Forest Red Gum or Queensland Blue Gum is truly beautifull...quarter-sawning really brings the grain to life.......anyway,here are the pics...

    Default I'm Excited!

I have a small mountain of logs that I pulled off a big tree job a few years ago that I have kept in the shade and up on power poles. The logs have hardly moved and 80% appear to be highly figured. Not sure yet what I'm going to do with them but i know it's going to be great stuff

For those that like a red timber,it hard to beat figured Forest Red Gum...certainly rivals Blackwood in the looks department....and yes, those are 'spooky' eyes..long live the tree spirit......
