I cleaned out the shed once and put all the shavings and saw dust on the garden. It killed just about everything bar the roses. Just a bit too acid I fear.

allan that's an absolute beauty. thanks for posting it carl yes we all make alot more sawdust than we can burn, but the dust that comes out of my shed from the saw, thicknesser and slabmaster would fire one of these things easily. plus the best thing i can see from that is you fill it,light it and walk away how good is that? you don't have to watch it. now on the quiet, if i can get bobl to see it then get him to do some drawings so i can copy it, i'm away. and it's smokeless how good's that for the blokes who've got neighbours

There's no chance of me making it because we need cooling not heating here.

Just off the top of my head I would make it by using a 20 gallon drum inside a 44 gallon drum.

I wonder just how smokeless it would be with CSM green sawdust and a couple of litres of bar oil in it.

Oh no not another project to do. So simple but looks great. My workshop gets so cold in winter. (Thats why they call Bridgetown Fridgetown.) It is alot better idea than trying to make woodbriquettes. Thanks Sigidi

You're obviously not using enough hand tools. Get the #7 jointer out and a 6+" wide piece of karri should warm you up nicely!

    Default Sawdust disposal

What about a steam power plant. I've heard there was a mill that powered itself off its own dust or put it back into the grid. Word it correctly the goverment will pay you for being so Enviro friendly. Melborne company sells new plants. Hey, if they're making ply out of banana trunks, theres gotta be some use. We are Australian after all.
