Gidday to all
Gidday all ,
First of all let me introduce myself, I am a semi-retired ex-diesel-truck-car-motor/cycle-marine-
outdoor/power/equiptment mechanic and yes it seems that I've took a stab at every thing in my field
(it pays to be versitile) but I'm waffling here.
I have been lurking on this section of the forum for a while as my intrest are chainsaws (old ones
in particular at the last count BIL and I have well over 40 [20+ going!]) and milling, we've built
both a chain-saw rail mill and Alaskan type mill .
Whilst lurking and trawling I have come across a few posts that asked questions about problems
about their type of saw , I believe that I may be able to help with some, if not all, as for the last 6
years I have worked part time at an OPE (out-door power equipment) store, exclusively on the
mechanical side of things .
What I am saying is that if you have a problem with any ope be it chainsaws,brush-
cutters, mowers please feel free to ask questions of me and I will try my best to help with your
problem .
That being said if you do ask a question please elaborate the problem and give symptoms and
photos if possible so as I can best sort out the solution .
Any how this is a great site and I am very impressed with the level of expertise here and on other
sections of this forum and I hope that I can be of any help to you and other members.
Well a big GIDDAY from 741-Baus in Brisbane

nice.
my uncle has an old mobilco that he has used scince new that he wont part with. i offerd him a 034 and he wouldnt take it. that thing is a heavy saw for an 81 year old to be luggin around.
i love the old saws.
i have a feeling you will be getting plenty of questions. i have one for you.
how would you like it in a new thread so all can read it or via pm?

weisyboy
Carl , may as well start a new thread and we will see what evolves.
As for those old Molbilco's yes they are heavy and loud ,talk about loud even with ear bungs and muffs on , most of these old saws that BIL have would be lucky to see a log once a year at antique field days , Allora comes to mind , for the bloke that makes damper
