    Here's a peak of some Grey Gum that I have milled recently...very firm timber this stuff but breathtaking colour...MM

    Yes I think it is Kidbee...bright orange bark and the wood seems to be of good quality.Was surprised there were no gum veins too.This tree was burnt out around the butt and fell to the ground around 9 months ago during a storm.It was recovered recently and I ended up with 6 billets around 2.5 metres long. Reputedly very durable with a life of 25 years in the ground and 40 years above.It is very heavy too.The colour and figure alone make It worth milling...MM

    Grey gum was used for house frames back in the days when men were men!!

    It makes a beautiful floor!!
