Default An Old Grey from the tip

I rescued this from the tip must be getting on for 2 years ago, no idea what it was but couldn't leave it there

Finally decided to cut it up the other day, I thought it would be a good test to see how the new addition to trailer was going to perform...... and it did quite nicely

Depite the fact that it was grey when I got it and even now more weathered cos I didn't protect it other than put it up on some sleepers, the heart wood is in excellent shape, protected by the sapwood I'd guess, 99.9% sure it's a Cadaghi

With the help of the crane I lifted the log up and set it on a bit of a slope

No hassle putting this 4 inch thick slab onto the trailer, I did have to get a bit closer cos I needed to shorten up the jib

    Hi Pete,

Nice score, lucky they didn't charge you to take it away

Nice bit of recycling there, amazing what gets thrown away.
