Well.........We bought a block of land in Eagle Heights (Gold Coast Hinterland) and with that received fallen and dropped trees on the block. I searched the Internet for portable sawmills and found this forum. After a bit of reading and following what's going on I contacted Allan (Sigidi) near Gympie and he didn't mind coming down to have a look and do some milling.

Since then we have milled about 17log/mtrs of timber from Slabs to 4x1 flooring and 3x2 studs. I'm very happy how it all went and think I done well looking at it from the money side of things. Allan and Tyler (his son) worked well and taught me a lot about timber and chainsaws and Lucas mills.

All in all I really happy and I'm glad I decided to mill our timber.

Thanks Sigidi for your professional service and I'm sure I will find more logs in the New Year.
    Cheers
    Reiner
