Now I remember why I stopped climbing trees.
The moisture content was 35% a month after we slabbed it, Made a table from some the other day.... came up orlright I reckon.

Good thread, beautiful timber and a great table.

Why climb the tree and lop bits off it? Looks like it has an open paddock around it so why wasn't it just cut down at the base?
    Cheers

TEEJAY as I said in my first post, it was right near the boundary fence of the property and due to the size and lean, it could not just be felled as it was.
    Cheers

Looks like a fairly innocuous standard redgum...until you see the tiny human near the top of it. crikey, that is a whopper.

How many days to get it on the ground and then mill it up?

From memory I think it was about 5 hrs from start to on the ground ready for transport back to the mill, then about 2 or 3 days to slab up
    Cheers

One massive job and a great table.

Will you sell some of the timber as is or will you "value add" most of it?

    Great job again
    regards
