    I said this would happen!!!

However I don't know how the car thing got into it, but here goes, no Toyota for me. I really like my J3 Bedford and F250, for offroad seriously extreme stuff not much beats me in the Land Rover.

There, that'll open a can of worms

395 handles the 36" (33"- 34"cut) bar no worries at all ,even when running a standard non skip chain fully buried in Ironbark that's been dead for 20+ years. its all about chain sharpness! keep the cutting edge honed and keep the depth gauge height suited to saw power and cutting technique! I haven't tried a longer bar yet, but there's a lot of chain altering to be practiced for increasing cutting speed and keeping the saw from bogging down ... Sound technique and a properly sharpened chain and the 395 is very capable with a bar longer then 36"

I agree that the 395 is very capable with bars of this length, (I have regularly run 42" on my 394), however when ripping they do produce a fair load on the powerhead.
I now am lucky enough to own a 3120, (I still have the 394 and would not part with it), it is amazing how much more saw this is when running long bars.
As an all rounder though the 394/395 wins every time.
