Default Any ideas on the speciecs?

A few pics of a decent tree I took down for a customer a few weeks ago. Tree was about 30mts tall. Base of the tree is huge! Still gotta go back and grind out the bugger. Any idea of the species lad? I'm going to have a go at slabbing the main trunk in a few weeks when it starts raining and I can hide in the workshop and play on the mill smithb tree1.jpgsmithb tree2.jpgsmithb tree3.jpgsmithb tree4.jpg

looks like E. viminalis commonly called Manna gum that down here in sth Vic, they're usually smooth barked to the ground but not always.
nice timber for indoor use but will twist & bow whilst drying.

If it is Viminalis, it is not a highly regarded timber. If it seems to be a problem once you start cutting, I wouldn't persevere with it.
