Insurance
I have a 6-18 lucas that I store in a shed on my property in the bush. I've locked the shed, removed the keys and chained the mill to the shed. We spend maybe one weekend a month out there.
While I'm happy enough with this arrangement I wouldn't mind having some insurance just in case, so I'm interested to hear how people insure their equipment.
I've had some quotes from anywhere between $200 for a farm motor policy that may or may not cover the mill, through to a fully blown contents and infrastructure policy that starts at $1300, minimum.
Keen on the motor policy but just not confident that it's fully covered.

I seem to remember that if you don't visit every 6 weeks your not covered.
Need to stay 1 night every 6 weeks min.
So don't think about skipping it this month??

If you are not confident it is covered, have it itemised in the policy. Usually a cheaper way to insure anyway. A good broker can help in these sort of situations.

Thanks all.
I had wondered about funny little clauses like that 6 week thing. I specifically advised what the mill was and that I wanted it itemised.
The broker advised that they checked with the insurer and confirmed that it will be covered. I read through the wording and didn't spot anything obvious in the PDS, so we'll see how it goes.
It's about $210 under a farm motor policy.
David.
