Thread: The Ironwood Mill

The large frame is quite heavy, not sure of exact weight.
I dont try and lift the whole thing, I just lift one end at a time, and drag the other end (unless there's 2 guys)
I made this one out of 100x50 RHS, it's about 3.6 metres long , the bit in each corner is 50mm round bar with a 25mm hole for the leg to slide through. So as you could imagine, it is quite heavy.
I made it strong to resist any sagging, didnt want to make boomerangs
I always planned to make a lighter one out of 75x50 and about 3 metres long to make it a bit easier to do the smaller, one-off jobs, but just never got around to it, always were too busy milling or doing other stuff.
