That is a shame every where I go 24" seems to be the largest one carried in stock, which is what ive got now its only a 2 or 3 inches shy of being able to get though this log allowing a little over head for irregularities

Hi, here is one from a seller on ebay, it doesn't come with a chain though. He does stock a large range of chains etc. which you could get at the same time to save on postage.
30'' PRO Chainsaw Chain Guide BAR 3 8'' FOR Husqvarna Sprocket Nose NEW | eBay
I just bought a 28" bar and chain from him yesterday for my Husky 372XPG, I chose him because the guy is quite knowlegeable about the various chainsaws.
You could in the meantime just slice the top of it off and then roll it on the side and that would narrow the width of the log a bit.
Cheers
Ed.

Found a 32" at power equipment in welshpool. Going to grab it this arvo, already added a 42" gb bar to the wishlist must save up some dollars for that one. Thanks for all the online suggestions but ill support the locals this time. Definitely worth getting a stack of chain online though save a fortune. Ill post a few more pics tomorrow if the weather is kind

Nice!!
You just can't beat that feeling when you slide a slab off and see fresh grain.
I eyed every tree with with a sneaky look on my face after the first.
Happy cutting

Well went out and cut my first slab by myself, must say its definitely alot easier with two on the job. Although im thinking it may have been a blunt chain also after I got halfway lots of charcoal on the outside of the log. Next time im definitely doing my best to get rid of as much charcoal as I can. Anyway a couple of pictures.
Yeah the chainsaw is definitely the expensive part of milling and the grain was just stunning in this one. Im thinking ill make an entertainment unit out of it.

How long should I be looking to season this stuff for? Its been dead over 27yrs and cut at 2" thick and 1" thick. Also any of you west aussie guys know of a reasonably priced place to get it leveled and thicknessed? Back up at work now missing the mill already but atleast when I return home I should have a working ignition switch.
