Hey mate I'm looking at making one of these myself. How is yours going? Did you come up with a way of mounting a larger cutting head? Any chance you could throw up some more photos of the bearing travel system you used.

Lucas make a slab leveler blade for their mills, perhaps you could adapt that? If you use a separate shaft and bearing blocks for the cutter head you could adjust it's speed by varying the pulley sizes of the motor and shaft.

I have pulled a old grinder down to mount a carbotech planner blade onto it and welded a longer shaft and turned it down to go into my router. Have not set it up yet but will post some pics when its set up.
