    Two bits of 40x10 flat bar about 600 long, three 100mm "D" shackles. Thats all you need to make one capable of handling 600 dia log.

    Thanks rustynail I will head down to the metal supply shop to get some. I have lots of ways to heat it up to bend. May not be pretty.

    Oh I forgot. A half inch nut and bolt to hold the two pieces together.

    One of our forum members did some milling last weekend and had a couple of these. Super good for setting up logs and I hear he found them at a local garage sale. Lucky find I would say but definitely not home made.
