The dedicated slabber and swingsaw frames are completely different so no they are not interchangeable.

are you talking about the rails and end frames. The frames of the swing saw and a dedicated slaber should fit the same rails width if this is what you are asking.the swing saw can have a attachment for slabbing or a complete stand alone unit Dedicated slaber.

Carl the dedicated slabber and sawblade both sit in their own "carriage/trolley" which then sits on top of the rails. In the sawblade configuration you have the engine frame and swing frame which slides within the carriage/trolley. In dedicated slabber config the engine/power head sits in a chassis while the bar sticks out to the left. Both the model 8sawblade config and dedicated slabber config can fit on the same set of tracks and end frames. BUT you will have to check some dimensions if buying one config seperate to the other. AS an example, if I go and buy a dedicated slabber to suit my current end frames and rails and then I buy a model 8 in sawblade config, I would have to buy new parts for my curent end frames to suit the new sawblade trolley/carriage.

    Hope it helps

No it's not the same width, a 613 is capable of cutting the same dia. log as the 830, but the space required to the left of the log is less as the powerhead is smaller as compared to the 830 so the overall footprint for a model 6 is thinner than for a model 8.

Now mind you we are all owners and speculators, not Lucas reps maybe give John Fogarty (Qld rep for Lucas) a ring, can give you his number if you like?
