Lucas Slabber Winch
Finally got round to putting a winch on the slabber. Got a $30 winch off ebay and made up a bracket that allows the winch to clip on and off the slabber. I screw a piece of 40 x 40 angle on the end of the slab and have a pulley attached to this. Dont know why I didnt do this years ago. I can now run slabs off with vitually no effort. The winch keeps constant pressure on the slabber making for a better finish on the slab

I bought a small 12 volt electric winch some years ago and was quite successful . I figured that the bit of 4x2 across the beams would act as a safety valve and break first before anything else more valuable. It never did break though. Certainly took all the hard work out of the jobLucas Slabber Electric Winch Preparation - YouTube
