Being a little serious momentarily, that is some wonderfull timber MM. The work that goes into getting this calibre of timber is sometimes under estimated. If you find you have dug yourself a hole, the first thing to do is stop digging.
I just finished child-proofing our house - but they still get inside.

Only milled up a couple of chunks today...took forever, the chainsaw really dislikes any hint of dirt ..that said, the few bits recovered are heavy fiddleback..some interesting colours too..

The stump
Looks great, what chance of some off cuts finding there way to the pen makers, nothing is too small.

Nice butterfly matching pairs, these came from a good sized chunk taken off the root ball, it is so good milling a timber that the blade glides through, will post some milling pics tomorrow..it will take a few weeks to mill...i love milling it

MM what thickness are you milling at?
I can see there are going to be some interesting cuts and visuals.
Knee bone conected to the thigh bone etc etc etc OR is that one Pelvic thrust

Hi Wheelin...most of what's been milled to date is 25mm thick , and dimensionally up to 215mm wide...i milled some 40mm x 40mm blanks today, and hope to get some 75mm x 75mm at some stage...spent hours on the stump today digging dirt out of it and took bark off a few fingers in the process ...which slowed things down a bit..here's a couple of pics..

So how are you going to slice it? The larger slab size horizontally, or the smaller vertical? Either way there is going to be quite a few open joints/holes. Wish you all the best with it, waiting for more photos.

I reckon Ridley Scott would be interested to see some of those pieces.
