Massive amount of GB guide bars purchased
Well a few of you already know that I recently purchased a large amount of chainsaw guide bars from GB, some of these are obsolete replaced by newer models but still fit current Stihl & Husky etc, some were excess stock, some are specifically for the US market, and there are about 120 + extra long titanium bars ranging from 44" up to 72".
Total number of bars I purchased is abt 2000 and represents abt $90 - 100K at normal dealer prices.
BobL asked me if I was trying to corner the market - all I will say is that no other dealers were offered these bars, and I may have got the long bar market by the short & curlies.
I will be selling these by the inch for $2.20 / inch up to 36" bars and $3 / inch for bars 44 - 72" GST inclusive. This is a special for FORUM MEMBERS
If any of you that mill or just crosscut need a bar you will never buy at these prices again. See if you can buy a 32" bar for around $70 or a 72" bar for $216 - that's about half of dealer cost. RRP is abt $175 on the shorty and around $650 on the long bar.
I have offered over 1000 bars to a couple of dealers in the US and some in Europe with some interest being shown.
If you wish to have a look at what's available, go to my website in the specials section.
Most of what I don't sell within 12 months will be offered to overseas dealers.
Cheers .... Laurie
PS: I did send an email to the chief 2 days ago about whether it was ok to put this info on the site, however I did not receive a response, so I take it that all is fine.

Gees sawchain... selling bars by the inch? that is interesting...!
I can see a few I'm going to order, wondering if is there any machine that you haven't have a bar for?
So what is your excuse of not replacing or updating your bars?
Christmas all over... I like that!
Cheers
