New mill
Hi all,
Haven't posted in a while as I have been busy fabricating and testing a new mill based on the Norwood Portamill design.
A few modifications were made after the initial trial namely the log loading ramps and a heavier ladder for the mill to run on.
Takes about 10 minutes to set up the mill and is very easy and a pleasure to use.
Very happy with the quality of slab produced compared to the Alasken type mill which is attached to the saw and you have to push through the log over a ladder.
Went home feeling half as buggered as I normally would slabbing the old way.
Just have to make a couple of slight modifications to the loading ramps, but other than that she works a treat.
Thanks for looking and all comments are welcome.
Cheers,
Nev
