A "Miller" is born
Now I can feel like "one of the Millers"
I started to mill my first log today. After the first flitch it poured rain
Huge thanks to Weisyboy (Carl) for the small slabber and the skip-tooth chain and the log. I tackled a small Hoop Pine. Nothing to right home about but I'm bragging here because it was big for me - I only have a weeny chainsaw.
Everyone have a fantastic Christmas

Sounds like you are on a roll but watch out for CAD (Chainsaw Acquisition Disease)!
Some tips.
1) With small logs like that one end can be easily jacked up onto a saw horse and the other on a big glut like you already have. Then you can mill on a slope and this makes it a bit easier.
2) Keep the chain sharp and use progressive raker depths
3) Watch out for files left behind on the ground by CarlW.

Would have broke cause it was a husky wouldn't it carl "the holden of the chainsaw world...lol" "spend more time in the shed than in the bush"
I shouldn't bag em that much I had a husky 55 that would crosscut in dry redgum alright with a 20 inch bar fully buried. was fairly economical too, just kept melting plastic on the exhaust due to it flexing when you were using the dawgs, poor design. Oh and the outboard clutch sucked.
