Default Milling Camphor Laurel in Perth

    Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen

I am posting this on behalf of Derek, The Timber Bloke, as he is having computer difficulties, he mills better than he types, and these piccys needed to be seen.
Anyway, here are some piccys of a Camphor Laurel he recently milled in Perth

    Sincerely
    Willy

    Nice looking trunk

I assume a large Camphor Laurel is pretty rare of there as not planted like in NSW and QLD. Give it time I guess, they don't take long to spread out, definitely weeds here that take over.

Yes, Neil, not rare, par se, but not common like in the East. One thing I noticed is the WA versions do NOT normally have the rich colour that you have in the East, probably poorer soils and lack of rain.

I tend to agree Willy, I milled some a few years back down here and the same depth of colour seemed to be missing compared to what you see on the East Coast
