    Default Milling Recomendations?

    Hi all.
I found this odd tree while working and wonder if anyone has any ideas what happened to it, what the timber would look like, and what the best method would be to cut it up to get the most useable timber from it. It's just a common old Eucalyptus obliqua but I thought it might has some nice figure. I wouldn't be using it myself, as I don't have the skill or equipment to make use of quality craft wood, but know a few local people that are really gifted in this regard.
The tree is growing in a small stand that is marked for harvesting and going to be pulped. I have flagged it so it will be safe until I can get back to rescue it.
The odd section is approx 500mm diameter and 900mm in length. It seems even all round, almost as if the tree was pushed down into the ground and concertina'd like a straw.

The rest of the tree will be good for sawing too Blody Pulp yeah looks like burl from this distance, if it's full diameter, maybe cut biscuits out of it. or once yuo get it down, maybe even cut it obliquely - left corner at the top to right corner at the bottom, rip out the whole thing into about 60mm 'slabs'might come up with some really weird patterns and also a few larger peices with some smaller bits.

Post piccys when you get your hands on it
I love my Lucas!! ...just ask me!
