This is the sort of feedback which gets modifications done.
As the EcoSaw has always had two riving knives I can confirm that you are right and it does prevent the operator from doing a climbing cut. Apart from that it actually gives 50% cover on the blade which will help prevent the blade and other bits from leaving the cut at high speed.
You also find that the extra riving knife helps prevent the timber from pinching on the blade giving a better finish.
Just costs more to produce the mill so if the mill is safe enough as is will the customers pay the extra?
Ask Lucas and they should be able to supply you with a riving knife and give instructions as to best place to mount it.End of another day milling
