Sounds like Allan likes to talk lucas thats fine looks like i best not call him just yet as things are a bit busy at the moment.
As for the mill its great had a peterson many years ago but this is heaps beter lot more portable and the 10'' cut makes it woth while great for step treads and large beams, lucas seem to have a beter gearing on the 10'' over the other models they have just seems to have more torque

Stick around in the wood game for a bit Swingmill and there are still some fellas about that you can deal with with only a handshake. Yes they are a chosen few but they are the ones you will deal with for a long time and learn the most from. They are the fellas in the timber industry that you sit in their nest and dont s..t in their nest if you get me drift

but ya know what they say (or at least used to)
never trust a sawmiller or a horse dealer.
you definitely shouldn't trust a horse dealing saw miller.
