Hey Rob are we talking Radiata? If so here in the west you can get mill overflow for about $60 tonne landed

Not worth much around here either. You need to be close to a pine mill and it needs to be a quality stand before it is worth anything. And then there needs to be volume. Small plots around here remain untouched - virtually worthless.

    Gday

5 acres would be hitting the 1000 ton mark if its a reasonable to good block I take it it is unthinned clear fell what sort of time frame are you thinking off parttime or full time falling it it ? what sort of size and form do they have to them and what is access like to the site and do you have your own logging gear Mate ?

with log price it all depends what the mills willing to pay for Dad and I we would be willing to pay the following prices landed in Heathcote

Run of bush sawlog 250mm plus in dia 2.5 to 6.0s we would pay $66 per ton del

House logs 270-300 sed 3.6 to 8.0 meters long and dead strait we will pay from $99 to $110 per ton del

small/low grade sawlog 250 down to 125 mm we would pay $55 a ton for all of them in 3.6 meter lenghts for sawing pallet timber out off which is better than the pulp price atm

We might be interested in buying part some of the logs or the lot It all depends on the block if it really good stuff on average If you want to discuss things further just send Me a pm Mate

    Regards Chris
