    Default Property owner looking for portable mill operator in Townsville area.

    Not sure if this is the correct area to post this, but I'll start here.

    I have a rural property with a number of standing dead and fallen trees from cyclone Yasi. I want to mill these for my own use and am looking for someone with a Lucas type mill to cut them up, preferably as dimensioned lumber, in a timber sharing arrangement.

    I have a large tractor with 4-in-1 bucket for handling the logs and power at the site if required.

    Mainly Grey Bloodwood and Moreton Bay Ash.

    Located at Cape Cleveland, South of Townsville.

    On the timber sharing bit, Dont be surprised if that doesn't happen, it may work great for people talking down the pub, but Dont be surprised if your miller wants to be paid in something other than what he can get hold of any day of the week ;-)

    There has been a gent selling sawn slabs roadside on the Cnr of Vickers Rd & Herveys Ra Rd on weekends lately. Maybe worth tracking him down.

    I have ended up buying a Granberg chainsaw mill and will have a crack at cutting some myself.

    I'm still keen on a partnership if anyone is interested.
