Just make sure it's got a governor. Otherwise you're stuffed (unless the motor is super powerful)

its a 55hp tractor
make sure its not one of the ones with the fast pto shaft soem of them were made to run at low engine rpm but have standard pto speed (520rpm)
also make sure is a blue one. teh red ones were a defective model most were recalled.

The ford 6000 should be ok for a 36". I have run a 36" with a 40hp tractor and it wasn't adequate. My current saw is a 44" and I run it with a fiat 880 but it struggles with deep hardwood cuts and if the timber binds is even harder. Running water on the saw helps but the blower doesn't work as well. As others have said the more power you have the better it will run and you can run the saws for longer before sharpening.
regards
Steve

I ve gotta say Guys I ve failed. I went an Dug out this PTO mill only to discover I d find a Moble Co safer. All it was was a pto shaft and a couple of bearings of the 5 blades they are all rat #### as the fearless outlaws had left in the long grass and to find it all simply burnt off. Along with the sleapers that used to keep the cane train tracks and dollys for the logs across the mill. Will require major fabrication to make it all work again and well I cant bebothered with it till shoulder is healed.
