    Default question re chainsaws

    just like to know ( because there is thousands of em ) who carries a good range of chainsaw parts oregon non genuine stuff in brisbane .
    just after a few bits clutch drum and stuff for my 076 . stihl in toowoomba want 139 bucks for genuine and i aint paying that just for the drum when i know oregon is only about 35 to 40 bucks .

    yeah mate , there is a bit of confusion there though looking at the parts list i have the chain brake model and it is not meant to have a nut after the carrier and the non chain brake model did have a nut , but mine has a chain brake and it has the nut , wondering if mine is built from a few parts saws . anyway back to the question yep i need the clutch drum i have a few new rim sprockets anyway but it seems they come as a set drum and rim sprocket .

    yours has the outboard clutch and you fitted rim sprocket upgrade did you?

    i deal with corinda mowers they will be cheaper than anyware else in brissy. and might even have a good second hand one.

    only genuine parts thow.

    the saw is how i bought it on ebay , already fitted with the rim sprocket .
    and the more i look into the manuals and parts lists i have the more different setups i find .

    Where I am in the U.S. I gave up with the constant search for parts. Seems the bigger stores no longer want to bother with small dollar items. They will sell you the chain saw then you are on your own.
    I bought a Stihl. They work. On the rare occasion a part may be needed the independant dealer has them and gives good service.

    got all the bits i need yesterday from the husky bloke in toowoomba .even got a clutch cover second hand but in like new condition.
