    It is a lewisaw Mill with some mods to the slaber, so as to be able to slab flush to the last saw cut. This is what the line is in the centre of the largest section. It also enables me to mill a log aprox. 2.5mtr across by milling the first half and slabing the second.

    Nicely executed job. Lots of useable timber. Just what it's all about. Have you got any more logs like that or was it a one-off?

    I do have another red gum similar in size to do for myself and a large pepermint to do for a customer, also similar in size. It is good red gum teritory hear quite comon to have logs around 1200 to1500 in diamiter.

    I am told that sharpening handsaws is a dying art.... this must mean I am an artisan.

    Get your handsaws sharpened properly to the highest possible standard, the only way they should be done, BY HAND, BY ME!!! I only accept perfection in any saw I sharpen.
