    Default Rescue Mango

I managed to rescue three mango logs which were going to be advertised on Gumtree for firewood. When the woodworkers rise up, and come to power, anyone guilty of such acts will be give a rusty , blunt turning chisels, and made to turn logs into pens! The sawmill didn't like the rock that was burried in the center of the log, as well as blue plastic.

Knew a fellow 'miller' up in North Qld who was unfortunate enough to find a 'toaster' embedded in the fork of a Mango log
He said it made an almighty noise when he hit it with the chainsaw mill ...MM

Found this well inside a forest red gum trunk at a house in Miriam Vale a few years ago. I hit the steel shaft with the Stihl MS880 and knew it wasn't just a nail. Note the fresh growth outside the object to sapwood. No way to predict this at about 4mtr above ground. Tree was about 700mm dia at this point.

So how much did the weed fork that you hit cost as it still has the label on the handle?

WC, I was hoping one may consider the new weeding tool as an example of the original one that is embedded in the resin/timber. RM
