Eli @ $300 per cube for sawn - not worth switching the saw on, even if it is waste.
I've only 1 customer in 7 years has wanted anything to do with flooded gum.
I sliced some into studs for wall frames in my own house but thats itI love my Lucas!! ...just ask me!

Eli when you say susceptible, what are you referring to, it's tendency to split? or it's susceptibility to Lyctus borer? The former - yes it is susceptible, the later - no it isn't.
It isn't bad timber as mentioned already, just market-wise there isn't much for Flooded Gum specifically.I love my Lucas!! ...just ask me!

Eli, until your cutting is spot on with a Lucas, many places don't want anything to do with it and even then, some places have had such bad experiences with 'hacks' running mobile mills trying to pass themselves off as sawyers, they still will not touch timber from a mobile mill - it really peeves me off

Might be better to try and find a local cabinet or furniture maker prepared to dry and dresses the timber for their own use. They are often prepared to take the wood a bit rougher for the right price.
I also struggle with feed stock from swing blade mills as it is too inconsistant. If it is all oversize you can set up the moulder to compensate. Same if it is all undersize but when it is both there is little you can do but set up for oversize and put up with all the misses and skips in the moulding.
I;d suggest going direct to your local cabinet makers with small parcels rather than trying to supply the big guys.
cheers
Steve
