    Default Sawmillers Busted

    $1.5m illegal sandalwood bust

Now I guess they burn it and waste the timber?

    Bloody cowboys really annoy me.
What will happen to it ? Probably burnt. If this is the case, why can't the Council/Government or whoever is handling this either auction or sell it off.
I am not worried about where the revenue will go, just all that beautiful wood going to waste.

    End of rant

I agree with the above, the timber will probably be destroyed. They should auction it off and put the money to charity or reduce our tax bill.

    I don't understand this statement

Police searched homes in Myaree, Baldivis and Bibra Lake where they not only discovered what they believe is illegally harvested sandalwood but also machinery used in the processing of sandalwood.

What is so scandalous about the "machinery used in the processing of sandalwood." wouldn't that be general equipment rather than sandalwood specific and could be used for legitimate purposes, even if it wasn't in this instance.
