    Default setting up slabber for lucas 825

    Have bought a second hand mill with atechment and have never used one.Have 3 skip and 5 scip chain.ANY ADVICE.

    Hi mate. Talking directly to the feild demonstrators at Lucas Mill is the best way of getting the right advice the first time. They quite often have demonstration days associated with field days and shows where they can spend time answering all your questions and showing you how to set them up.
    A good little trick is to use a piece of aluminum can to fine tune the shimming of the bar to perferctly flat.

    Bit of an open question Eli, anything in particular you wanted to know, or just wantin to be given years of experience, trial an error, practice, knowledge etc?

    ye if you could pass it threw the screen.How do you recomend Sharpen the chain.Have alredy answerd alot of my questions.

    I sharpen chains with a round file, some folks don't sharpen their chains at all - I've know some to just go buy a new chain when its blunt

    Round file at a 10 degree angle or whatever you prefer and a lot of elbow grease keep the chain sharp! This is painful ahaha but the only way to go plus if you cant be bothered there is always tungsten

    I was wanting the size file (7/32) is that rite and do you all use a gage and the agle thanks.
