Silky oak
No, it's still standing, I need someone to take it down and get rid of it, great timber but doesn't belong in a suburban back yard

Sometimes the best line of attack is to find a reputable tree lopper to fell the tree for you and then the portable saw millers may be able to assist in disposing of the log. The sawmiller and tree lopper are not often the same person.

Hope it doesn't have any nails, screws, bolts, spikes wire or other assorted ironmongery embedded in it.
Sounds like a great bit of timber.
