    Default silky oak storage

I have just had a large silky oak cut down and now have two large (8 ft) halves from the main trunk section which was ripped down the centre. I plan to have these lengths eventually milled into say 4 inch slabs to make an outdoor bar or something...

What is the best way for me to store these lengths?
    Thanks.

Outdoor bar ! , that sounds like a waste of good silky oak to me.

Any unpainted timber surface left outdoors will go grey within a few years and short of stripping and sanding it every year or two there is absolutely nothing that can be done about it.

    RE; Storage
Do you mean the pieces of trunk that have been split in half or the milled timber?
