i sound like sigidi
i was on a job yesterday, slabbing up a redgum for a client when i noticed the nose sprocket end of the dedicated slabber was smoking like all christ.turned the machine off and found the bearings seized.(12.30pm) rang lucas mills and spoke to matt, who said he'd put one in the mail for me.check the mail today (11.30 am) the new part is there.had to go and get a load of logs so i'll fix the bar when i get back, did that and when i put the bar back on,i find the bearing on the drive shaft gone as well.get to the bearing shop and the bloke tells me he doesn't have that size bearing, i ring lucas again matt says the bearing number is 6306, i tell the bloke this and he says your'e wrong then i pull the two spacers out of the inside part of the bearing and he says ok your'e right. in the end the mill is on the ute ready to go tomorow.the part where i sound like allan is "i love my lucas" but the backup service that lucas delivers is the best i have ever encountered with any company that i have had to deal with in my 26 years of working and buying tools. hey matt i know this won't get you a pay rise but thanks for the help.next to that i've done 300+ hours with the dedicated slabber and this is the first nose sprocket i have replaced but the third drive shaft bearing and i also replaced the drive sprocket as well (3rd time) oh did i say i love my lucas

Charlsie
There are so many horror stories out there. It's always good to hear a positive. Pat on the back for Matt and Lucas.

I'm DJ
I was originally asked to pull the log out and cart it to Millgrove, but couldn't get crane truck in as you would've seen and winching it out would have cause too much damage unless spent heaps of time setting up, which is why I gave them your number
