    Default Stihl MS661 shuts down

Hi all , Ive got an MS661 c , great saw but it shuts down after about 15 mins of hard cutting , but fires straight back up again and runs for about another 5 or 10 minuets and shuts down again , will fire up straight away again .
Looking for any info or hearsay that might be out there as to what the problem might be .
    thanks for any advice .

Probably dirt. Carbi, air cleaner or plug.

    I'd go with rusty's comments.

Hard cutting suggests it may be due to something to do with overheating?
    Is it tuned right?
Maybe try running it a touch richer?

Given the investment you have made in you gear I would not risk any further possible damage. Take it to an expert Stihl dealer for service and repair? That’s my 2cents worth

That assumes you can find an expert stihl dealer. The ones around here don't know where their a*'s are...

When a solenoid fails it becomes dirt.
