Thicknessing Red Cedar in Brisbane & surrounds.
G'day blokes
I've just joined, even though I've been visiting for a while. I'm in Brisbane north.
I have some really beautiful, really old (43 years drying) Red Cedar (Toona ciliata syn. australis), that was cut down in 1968 from my Grandfather's farm, here in Qld.
There are differing sizes, but no length is more than about 2400mm (8 ft), and no width is more than about 300mm (12"). It is all about 25mm (1") thick. There's about 20-30 boards. It sincerely is some of the most beautiful timber.
Is there anyone here that can dress and thickness it for a reasonable fee? or I could sling a little bit your way, if you wanted?
Kind Regards, jjh.

Bribie Island woodcrafters have some good gear. Do a search for them in the phone book. Damien.
