Today's cutting - rosewood/cedar
Started cutting this rosewood log today. The butt length was clean but 4 more sections of the log were severely burnt. The butt length produced some nice slabs 1.4m wide 2.1m long. After cutting 5.4 cube of English Oak and the butt of rosewood I thought the saw on the machine would not last long in the burnt wood but it continued to cut well doing 2 burnt logs and a motely cedar and still going.

The cedar log was an awkward one and hardly worth the effort it took to position. Some small pockets of nice grain but the rest of the log was too old and spoiled by suncracks.
cheers

Stopper
Those rosewood slabs have come up well.
Would it be worthwhile slabbing the cedar and then resawing for small sizes? Normally I would consider that log firewood, but because of the value of cedar is it viable to sell off small sections for boxes, woodturning etc?
