Petition
When I joined the forum a few years back there were some prolific contributers. Wild Dingo and Bitingmidge just to name a few. I don't know how they had the time to start and reply to threads but they made interesting reading. They stopped and for their own reasons. I respected that and I don't recall a petition to have them return.
I put Weiseyboy in the same category, a big contributer and his posts worth reading but if due to a changes in his life he can't or doesn't want to contribute then I feel we should respect his decision and leave it be.
There is still lots to be gained from this forum without Weisey but I will miss his unique style.

KEN OATH its a shame, it seems that the small milling forum is nothing but a pooh fight over which ebay seller sells the crappiest chainsaw and being pedantic over the facts of what a 40 year old chainsaw did in its prime.
Personally I miss weissy and the things he brought to the forum. He might not have been able to spell, his facts might not have been 100 percent correct all of the time, but his personality more than made up for it. if only some of the other sourpusses had as much whole hearted input without the need to just tear strips off of people, and accept the fact that sometimes a 10 inch fish might seem like a whale shark, the milling forum would be a better place. honestly Inter it is snide comments like the one you have posted here that really make me wonder about you some times. We all accept that you have experience but when you belt someone who is giving genuine input over the head with it unnecessarily it becomes a downer. And lets face it Carl used to give a lot of input to the forum, more than the general one line posts or beration and derision than you usually give. I will say that I have liked some of the threads you have put up and that it is not just you who can be rude at times (myself included) but the belting that was given to Carl not just in the aforementioned thread but numerous others by yourself was uncalled for. It is also the reason that Calm no longer gets on here and why more of the others that used to have input on here no longer say much or bother visiting.I am told that sharpening handsaws is a dying art.... this must mean I am an artisan.
Get your handsaws sharpened properly to the highest possible standard, the only way they should be done, BY HAND, BY ME!!! I only accept perfection in any saw I sharpen.

Just settle down....if you want this forum to exist.....behave accordingly.
I'm being nice.

My apologies Watson. I think I can say that all of the members on this forum want it to exist!!!
It just rows my boat however to see valuable members of the community who have given such input over the time be driven away by certain peoples rude comments and derision.
I am a fairly newcomer to the forums and have gained a lot out of it, but of late it seems that a faction has been formed that has driven away some of the better contributors and it is a crying shame ( heck I have been at the point I couldn't be stuffed getting on here, but have just because I want this forum to exist.) It just seems that we need back some of the movers and shakers like Carl and Calm who had a lot of good and genuine input, not just in theoretical nonsense but also in ADVENTURES.I am told that sharpening handsaws is a dying art.... this must mean I am an artisan.
