Reading or writing anything thats similar to schoolyard banter may have that effect on yourself but thats not the reason I thought it was fantastic. I have well & truly progressed beyond that stage which was so easy to do.

"bring back the biff" is what any body with goolies would say to someone advocating violence as a way to solve a discussion.
Does anyone think this is NOT a contradiction in terms?

Is this a petition where only the " for " comments are posted & the " against " are censored out?

Legitimate, well phrased, perhaps even eloquent (look it up) "agin" comments are fine.

From a couple of other threads I've since read there's a bulldozer (real crap brand apparently) out there that just wanted to doze a particular tree down at every available perceived opportunity, and if no opportunity was there, well no problem, let's have a go anyway. Ever heard of dignity?

Hey Rosewood, were there ever any Russian bulldozers around? You know, the ones that are SO bad that they're comical (mainly because they don't know it, and keep on dozing around bumping into things - did they run on methanol)?

Jesus this is getting abit over the top Weisy take some time to get a thicker skin surley you ve been called and questioned worse by far better people then us. As for Inter well the respect I had for him has gone he sounds like my old man a talk perfectionist, Its great to be a keyboard warrior but bullying is some thing else. I find Carl rubs me the wrong way but having said that ya gotta give it to the young fella he s having a go and this sort hen pecking for such a prolonged period of time is paromont to Stalking. I am not choosing sides but hells bells Inter get off the boys case some times he needs some #### but not all the time

Sheeesh!!...No wonder Weisy did a runner
I just trawled back to a bunch of threads that Weisy started...
seems that everytime he'd open his mouth, a toothless little terrier would run out and star nipping at his heels..(harmless.. but constantly annoying enough to walk away)
...post up in carving and sculpture Weisy... we're a w@^#er free zone ( you carve up trees don't you?)

what if the hokey pokey is really what it's all about?

Due to my personal circumstances, I have only milled one log in the last 8 years.
I did happen to put it in a thread.
You can look at it here- https://www.woodworkforums.com/f132/i...d-mill-126302/

I have always found that war's are easy started but damned hard to stop. I try to avoid them as much as I can. But yes poking a stick into someone constantly does rile.
His method of writing was indupitably (look it up) ( Sorry) his own. But you dont know the facts of his life so are not in a position to judge his style. But you are in the position of inflicting pain and that is what has happened.
Was it worth it. What are the gains and losses. The old Scottish saying is "You'L get yours Jimmy.' Always applies. Sooner or later when we are near our departure we will look back and reflect on the wreckage we created and wish we could change yesterday.

Never posted in here before but look in occasionally. All I can say is, you have more than your fair share of obnoxious arzoles in this forum.

Some of of you who were involved in this mess should hang your heads in shame.

This forum and Weisybo are both fer too good for the likes of you. Why don't you go spit your venom and vitreol elsewhere. I'm sure there is another forum somewhere in the world that would tolerate your style for a time. Albeit a short time.

ted's position as chock boy was .
logging in the hill country back in those days when the trucks were to say the least under powered ,( i will ask him this arvo what trucks they were cos i forgot , though i do know that ted did some log carting with T model fords ).
where they were logging they had 2 big down hills and 2 big up hill ( mud )hauls to get out of the timber on there way to the veneer mill in brisbane ,they would get the loaded trucks in top gear and go flat out down hill but only make it part way up the up hill side and to try and change down a gear was not an option , so they stayed in top gear until the truck ran out of puff and stopped part way up the hill , then it was the chock boys job to quick as a flash running along side the truck and when it stopped chock the back wheel the driver would then select 1st gear give the truck a boot full and drop the clutch the truck ( very back heavy ) would wheel stand and jump forward 5 or 6 feet then the front wheels would drop back to the ground where the chock boy was waiting with his chock to block the rear wheel again and so they continued until they reached the crest and the downhill run ,
on the next hill another chock boy would be waiting and the first chock boy would grab his chock and run back down to the bottom of the hill and wait for the next truck .

there is one coil in the coil springs in an old lounge chair that can be used and has been many times as piston rings for an 070 to finish the days cutting until new parts could be sent out .
ted said the boys liked the 070s because they were easy to strip and rebuild in the bush .
'If the enemy is in range, so are you.'

Angry The more erudite Carl bashers should look at this

    Here is that thread.

So far as Carl taking his bat and ball and blah blah bloody blah: it's very interesting to note that with all the slamming he got he only protested once (from memory) and during and after the slamming, he just carried on with great dignity. That boy doesn't need a thicker hide (as was suggested). He's a lesson in dignity for all of us. Many of the things that were said to him in that thread were by way of help to Carl, and that's great, but did the helpers think that maybe they could have done it by PM to Carl? It would not have embarrassed him publicly (and he MUST have been): it would have been an excellent Japanese gesture to him. At the very least, some of the things that were said to him by well-meaners (not meanies) could have been put far more diplomatically.

This is the only thread I have ever read in this forum (I got caught by the "Bring back biff weissyboy" headline). I have no interest in milling (just mulling), so I know zip about Carl, his circumstances or anything else. Surely it should have occurred to some (particularly the well educated) that maybe, just maybe, Carl is dyslecksick. This is mere spekulashun on my part, but if I was asked to put my block on the cock, I would estimate that he probably is (and may not even be aware). Think about it: his spelling mistakes are very inconsistent, and by his own admission "it takes me long enough as it is to type things out without stoping everyword to make sure its spelled corectly." (end cut & paste). That to me says that he may get the keys mixed up, and that would be a classic sign of Dyslexia.

Dyslexics are usually highly embarrassed about their affliction because it is so easily apparent to others. They can no more help spelling mistakes et al than a colour blind person can help confusing colours. They do not need sympathy; empathy and compassion are the go. Hell, I'm a very recently diagnosed Bi-Polar 2, and in retrospect it's completely farqued up my life (54 to date, and now beginning the unravelling journey - hence turning to woodworking for some natural therapy), but at least it's not so publicly obvious as something like Dyslexia, and therefore not embarrassing. Jesus, it wasn't even obvious to me!

Noo then lads, having said all of that, IMO the thread where Carl copped a spelling bashing was no where near as offensive as the flooded gum thread. As has been said many times that was just derision, sarcasm and point scoring.

Well, I've got three new black unshaven pussies to play with , so I'm outa here.

Calling a guy names cos he kant spel the way you want hurts. It just doesnt matter how you call him names. You have to walk in someones shoes to understand how different we are. Now I am dyslectic in certain ways. I can not choose between two things but can if you add a third. My life in electronics had me with a chart. Transistors are PNP or NPN, I had a chart. I had slightly high blood pressure, the medecation seems to do your nut no good so I had an IQ test. Question 1 where are you. Well I was in the silly beggers office and told him so. No No the address. I had no idea, didnt interest me, fail one. Next count back from 150 in 9s, bit silly but had a go, Passed but. Next spell this backwards. That is not logical, fail 2. So please understand, I can laugh at my dyslexia, its not that great an issue for me. Others may not,
They may see it as some form of retardation, when all it is is their brain is wired differently to the average, and most display skills beyond the average.
So please live and let live, you dont know what it is unless you walk in his shoes.

This thread has been closed as it is providing little, if anything, of value to the forums. The message to Carl if he reads the thread is that the majority want his return but the debate is likely to continue.

For the ongoing sniping, both subtle and not so subtle, give it a rest please. People come here to learn about wood, woodworking, tools and to enjoy themselves.
